Seven authors embarked on a journey of self-knowledge in the footsteps of J.A. Comenius. They bring a distinctive message that they imprinted in the exhibition.
The exhibition Jan A jaK dál was created within the JAK Laboratory, a place where artists meet the public, and together create an exhibition.
Seven people from different fields each have a different perspective and experience, and each was in some way influenced by Comenius. They set out on the path of knowledge. Different views on Comenius and their eventual conflict represent the key to the entire exhibition. The first meeting took place in the Plum yard, where the authors shared their knowledge and experience so far, and then, like pilgrims, they each set off on their own to search for what they found important in Comenius’ work. After a few months, they met again, this time in the Malthouse in the JAK Laboratory. They then undertook another pilgrimage to all three alleged birthplaces of Comenius. After returning, they printed all the knowledge and research in the Laboratory, where with the help of visitors, children and adults, the final concept of the entire exhibition was created. The laboratory even visited Prague’s DOX, where volunteers from among the visitors of the FACE Festival of Arts and Creativity in Education joined in the research.
